Morihei Ueshiba (December 14, 1883 – April 26, 1969) was the founder of Aikido and often referred to as “O-sensei.”

Ueshiba was an exceptionally talented martial artist and a great innovator. He raised a number of students that rose to become legends in the martial arts world and great leaders in the world of aikido. Ueshiba's revolutionary art of aikido is now practiced in over 100 countries by millions.
